A message from Mr. Doherty:
July 28, 2021
To all Nottingham families,
At this time it is expected that the Nottingham School will hold fall sports interscholastically. This means we are expected to be playing competitively against the teams within our normal league and be traveling to other schools as well as hosting games and meets at our home fields. However, we are still awaiting final word as to how the competitive games and meets will look in terms of social distancing and mask wearing. The Nottingham School Board is still discussing how they want to proceed and will likely wait on recommendations from the NHIAA….the governing board of NH Sports. As soon as the NHIAA updates their expectations and recommendations the local School Boards will then make a final decision soon after.
In the meantime…if your student/athlete intends on playing a fall sport there are a few documents that need your attention in order to participate in school sports. Please be sure to answer all four (4) questions/sections of the Intramural Sign-ups Google Form. Additionally, you will also receive three (3) other emails with Google Form links to fill out the three (3) below mentioned forms. The following forms and documents should be reviewed and all sections should be completed in full.
Additionally, you will also need to have a current/valid Sports Physical on file at the school. I suggest that you obtain a Sports Physical and have the paperwork forwarded to the School Nurse, Stasia Cardillo, prior to the start of tryouts and pre-season practices…..which are To Be Determined.
***** REMEMBER - The expectation is for you to complete these athletic documents through the Google Forms links that will be sent via email and NOT hand any paper copies of the forms into the school….with the exception of the Sports Physical documentation.*****
As coaches we will conduct tryouts and practice sessions in accordance to the NHIAA Guidelines related to youth sports participation...once those have been updated. If you have any questions or concerns related to the Nottingham School Sports Program, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact me, Dan Doherty, Nottingham School Athletic Director, and I will address your concern as soon as possible. I can be reached via email at email@example.com
