A message from Mr. Doherty:
Feb. 18, 2022
With Winter Sports nearing an end it’s almost time for Spring Sports. This Spring, The Nottingham School will be offering the following sports: Boys Baseball (for grades 6-8), Girls Softball (for grades 6-8) and Co-ed Track & Field (for grades 5-8). We are looking at full participation from the schools in the Southeast League so we should get a full season of games.
If your student-athlete is interested in participating in Spring Sports at The Nottingham School there are a few documents that need your attention in order to participate in school sports. Please be sure to answer all four (4) questions/sections of the Sports Sign-ups Google Form. Additionally, you will also receive three (3) other emails with Google Form links to fill out the three (3) below mentioned forms. The following forms and documents should be reviewed and all sections should be completed in full. If your student-athlete has participated in either Fall or Winter Sports then they would only need to complete the Sports Sign-ups Google Form link below.
The following links to the other required Google Sports Forms listed below only need to be completed once for each school year...so if your student-athlete participated in Fall or Winter Sports these forms do not need to be submitted again..
- Permission to Participate Form
- Student/Athlete Health Questionnaire
- Parent/Athlete Concussion Information Sheet
Please take note…Your student-athlete will need to have a current/valid Sports Physical on file at the school. Once sign-ups are submitted I will cross-reference athletes from the Fall and Winter to confirm the validity/expiration date of their Sports Physical that we have on file here at school. I suggest that you obtain a Sports Physical and have the paperwork forwarded to the School Nurse, Stasia Cardillo, prior to the start of tryouts and pre-season practices.
***Spring Tryouts and pre-season practices will be announced shortly after February Vacation***
SPORTS PHYSICALS - here is a short list of some Urgent Care locations in the area that offer Sports Physicals at a very low cost:
- Access Sports Medicine - Exeter
- Access Sports Medicine - Dover

- Convenient MD - Dover
- Wentworth-Douglass Express Care - Dover & Lee
*** REMEMBER - The expectation is for you to complete these athletic documents through the Google Forms links that will be sent via email and NOT hand any paper copies of the forms into the school...with the exception of the Sports Physical documentation.***
As coaches we will conduct tryouts and practice sessions in accordance to the NHIAA Guidelines related to youth sports participation...especially related to Covid-19 Expectations. Per the NHIAA, masks are currently optional for all sports. If any changes arise throughout the season I will notify all families via email. I can be reached via email at email@example.com
