Pre-K

Preschool is an exciting time of growth and development in a child’s life. They are starting to learn more about the world around them. Gaining independence everyday as they make the transition away from toddlerhood. Each new experience presents a learning situation as they begin to form their own identity. Preschoolers learn about sharing with others, grow their cooperative play skills, increase their early academic skills, increase their speech and language skills and actively improve their fine motor skills. Our Nottingham Preschool program aims to nurture this development on a daily basis.

Nottingham Preschool is located within the Nottingham School and follows the school year calendar. Our preschool is an Early Childhood program that has a 50:50 ratio of children receiving services to peer models. There are two sessions Monday through Thursday with 3 year olds attending from 8:45-11:15 while 4 year olds attend from 11:15 to 1:45. Daily enrollment for each session is capped at 12 to allow for a low teacher to student ratio. During the day children follow a daily schedule which includes journaling, math and literacy groups, fine motor and sensory exploration, meeting time, playground fun, snack/lunch and of course, plenty of play time!
