About Jude Chauvette
I am the Curriculum Director/High School Liaison for Nottingham. Most of my job involves working with teachers and school administration to get the best possible curriculum for the students of Nottingham. I have over 35 years of experience in education that has led me to this point. As the High School Liaison, I keep in contact with both Dover High School and Coe Brown Northwood Academy. I visit classes at each school and meet with department heads and administration. My job is to ensure that Nottingham students are successful after they leave the Nottingham School.
Academically, I hold a BA in Biology and an MS in Secondary Science Education, both from the University of Pennsylvania. I also have a MEd in Public School Administration and Supervision from the University of New Hampshire. Right out of college, I was a High School Biology teacher, a job I held for 11 years. During this time, I worked summers as a National Park Ranger in Glacier National Park, Montana. I loved teaching and working in the park, but eventually I moved into school administration.
For my first seven years of administration, I was a principal first at Berlin Regional Catholic School (PK-8) and then St. Francis School in Manchester/Litchfield (K-6). I entered public school administration as the Assistant Principal at Chester Academy for two years. That job led me to one as the principal of Center Woods Elementary School in Weare (PK-4) and then onto New Boston Central School (PK-6).
I thoroughly enjoy the change of pace being the Curriculum Director rather than Principal. Outside of school, I love to hike and climb mountains and bake yeast breads. I also enjoy walking my dogs Johnny, Clark, and Abby.
My door is always open, so if you are in the school, feel free to drop by my office and introduce yourself!
