Nottingham Cares Kindness Kits Service Project

Nottingham Cares Kindness Kits Service Project

We are very excited to share a service project opportunity the Nottingham community is invited to participate in! A community member approached us with a service project to target groups in need after the holiday season. She contacted local organizations and we decided to target three groups: Homemakers in Rochester, Navigating Recovery, and the Farnum Center. We are asking the community for donations to create care packages for these centers.

Collecting has already started (thank you!).  Moving forward we are asking grades 5-8 to focus on:

- Packages for the recovery community include toiletries, tissues, journals, writing/drawing supplies, and snack packs.

And we are asking grades K-4 to focus on:

- Packages for the older adults include stamps, tissues, journals, writing/drawing supplies, snacks, and chapstick.

Thank you to those who have already signed up and/or donated, please don’t feel the need to change anything based on the grade-level focus.

- All packages will also include a note and/or drawing from the students.

There is a Sign Up Genius page to coordinate donations https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040E4DAEAB2DA0FF2-kindness.

We will have bins in school for collection starting on Monday. We will have a day for parents and students to come and help assemble the kits. Assembly day will be Saturday, February 15th from 9-noon as a conclusion to our annual Kindness Week (February 10-14!!).

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact guidance or administration 603-679-5632. Thanks for your support!
