Hello Parents and Guardians!
Can you believe it, our first day of school is only 12 days away! We are very excited to begin the new year. This email is to inform and remind folks about how our first day begins. It is a little different then the rest of the year. Please read below and if you have any questions do not hesitate to email or call the school and we will help you out. If you have busing questions please contact Dail Transportation at 603-736-9682.
See you soon.
First Day Only School Procedures:
On the morning of August 31, buses will unload students at their regular positions in front of the school. Parent drop off will be in the main parking lot, near the parking lot exit (the same as last year, for the first day only). No cars will be permitted in the bus loop or the playground. If parents choose to park, please keep in mind that we have limited space in the parking lot, so you may choose to park on a section of the front field.
Students arriving for AM or PM Kindergarten should meet their teachers by the flag pole in front of the building. We will have staff in place to assist students in getting to the appropriate places. Remember to write your child’s name on the name tag that was mailed home this summer from his or her teacher. AM students can arrive at 8:00 and classes begin at 8:10. AM kindergarten ends at 10:55. Parents who are picking up their children should pick them up at the front of the building. Please do not park directly in front of the main doors, as that is where the bus parks for kindergarteners.
PM kindergarten students can be dropped off at 11:45 at the main entrance. Teachers will be outside to greet students at that time. PM kindergarten ends at 2:30. Students who are being picked up by parents will go to the parent pickup spot at the back of the school. Be sure to send in a note if your child is a parent pick-up.
Grades 1 through 5:
All students in grades 1 - 5 should meet their teachers on the playground. Teachers will be lined up in order by grade and will be holding signs with their names on them. There will be many staff members on hand to help students find their teachers.
Grade 6: Students should report directly to their homeroom upon arriving at school. Students who get breakfast can do so before going to homeroom. Everyone else should go directly to their classroom.
Grades 7 and 8: All 7th and 8th graders will meet in the cafeteria for a brief assembly, and to get schedules. Students will then go with their UA teachers for the first block of the day.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call the school. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone!
